An exciting job opportunity exists immediately for a Senior Operations Analyst to join TGM working full time in our Brisbane office as a valued member of the Compliance & Operations team.

The role

The role is responsible for the daily supervision of the TGM fund compliance processes as well as being primarily responsible for providing middle and back-office services to one of TGM’s joint venture partners, Fortlake Asset Management. The desired candidate will be Brisbane based and have had experience in working in a back-office operations team environment with exposure to OTC and exchange traded financial instruments.

Job Description

The key responsibilities will involve:

  • Supervise the daily Pre-Trade and Post Trade compliance functions for all TGM mandated clients
  • Supervise all daily reconciliations performed for TGM mandated clients, trade matching ,trade settlements (daily/quarterly), collateral management,  daily cash requirements, client specific trade instructions, receipt of data from external parties, client email communication and maintaining procedure documents
  • Process the daily middle and back-office functions for Fortlake Asset Management, including daily cash reconciliations, collateral management, trade matching and settlement, unit pricing reconciliations, liaising with third party platform providers and management of all email correspondence
  • Supervise and mentor the Compliance Analyst and provide back-up cover
  • Provide contingency regulatory compliance support to the Director Compliance & Operations.

Required Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Economics or higher
  • Experience working in a back-office operations team environment
  • Experience in daily cash and collateral reconciliations including regulations.

In addition to the above, we would like to hear from you if you have experience with one or more of the following:

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience in dealing with cleared and non-cleared OTC Derivatives including CDS/CDX, ITRX, Interest rate swap, credit tranche and swaptions
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income instruments including bonds and repo
  • Knowledge of exchange traded derivatives including Futures and Options
  • Knowledge of forward foreign exchange contracts
  • Knowledge of equities and exchanged traded ETF’s.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of OTC Derivative trade reporting and relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of unit pricing
  • Experience with Markitwire, ICE and DTCC platforms
  • Experience in using the Investment Management software SS&C EZE.
