TGM has continued to invest in outstanding academic achievement in tertiary education and support the next generation of talent by providing an annual prize to the top performing macroeconomics student within the University of Queensland’s (UQ) Economics Honours program.
We are pleased to announce that the recipient of the TGM 2021 UQ Economics Honours Prize, awarded at the (UQ) Economics Honours Celebration Evening on Friday 26 November 2021 is Miss Elyse Dwyer. Elyse’s thesis investigated the urban productivity advantages of cities, trying to isolate agglomeration economies from competitive selection mechanisms.
Elyse will be undertaking pre-doctoral research work with her thesis supervisors in 2022 and working as a pre-doctoral research analyst with the aim of applying for a PhD program in the future.
Elyse hopes to further refine her programming and writing skills so that one day she can be well placed to generate meaningful research in her area of interest. Congratulations to Elyse once again (pictured at her UQ graduation ceremony) for being the worthy recipient of the 2021 TGM UQ Economics Honours Prize.
